Sketch Magazine!

img_0933_web

I just received my comp copies of SKETCH Magazine  #38 from our friends at Blue Line Pro (where I buy most of my art supplies!), and I’ve got to say that the article I did for them “GHOST ZERO: Mood with Markers” looks fantastic!  There’s lots of nifty looking articles, including one from pulp-master Ron Fortier.  Interesting stuff on publishing too!  Anyway, you might want to pick one up.

Incidently, Bill Nichols, who edits the magazine is an alumn from my college, and while he was here, lived on the same street I live on.  Funny old world, ain’t it?)

Also, I just finished up the “Crossroads of Solomon Strang” short!  Look for it in Moonstone books soon!

Like Seven of Nine…

…I’m now One in Ten!  Well..maybe not EXACTLY like Seven of Nine, but Den of Geek have listed me as one of the “Ten Comic Creators to Watch Out For!”, saying:

Dave Flora, the creative mind behind the pulptastic Ghost Zero, finally gets a chance to shine. His latest Ghost Zero short is being released by Moonstone and now comic buyers will get a chance to see what webcomics readers have known for quite some time. Ghost Zero is the coolest retro pulp character in years. Ghost Zero updates the pulp genre while adding in a good mix of horror and mystery along the way. Starting with regular postings on Drunk Duck, he built a mythology and characters that are nostalgic yet relevant to today.

That’s high praise, alright…and I hope not to dissapoint!  Thanks to Marc and the crew at Den of Geek!

Also, my wife just had her birthday last Tuesday, so I thought I’d let everyone see that markers can be used for good..not just evil!

I’m finishing up the last page on Crossroads this week, so stay tuned!
